Recommendation
This is a request for City Council to recommend approval to the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control of two special event liquor licenses for the Fighter Country Foundation, submitted by Ron Sites. These events will be held at Westgate Entertainment District located at 6751 North Sunset Boulevard on Tuesday, July 4, 2017, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Thursday, July 20, 2017 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. The purpose of these special event liquor licenses is for fundrasing at the Westgate Firework Fest and the Gold Cup Fan Event.

Westgate Entertainment Distirct is zoned PAD (Planned Area Development) and located in the Yucca District. If this application is approved, the total number of events expended by this applicant will be two of the allowed 12 events per calendar year. Under the provisions of A.R.S. § 4-203.02, the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control may issue a special event liquor license only if the Council recommends approval of such license.
The City of Glendale Development Services, Police, and Fire Departments have reviewed the application and determined that it meets all technical requirements.
