Recommendation

This is a request for City Council to recommend approval to the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control a new, person-to-person, location-to-location transferable series 7 (Bar - Beer and Wine) license for Stir Crazy Comedy Club located at 6751 N Sunset Blvd Ste E206. The Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control application (No. 07070034) was submitted by Amy Nations.

Background Summary

The location of the establishment is in the Yucca District and is over 300 feet from any church or school. The property is zoned PAD (Planned Area Development). The population density within a one-mile radius is 3,876 per the 2010 US Census. This series 7 is a new license to this location, therefore, the approval of this license will increase the number of liquor licenses in the area by one. The current number of liquor licenses within a one-mile radius is as listed below.

Pursuant to A.R.S. ? 4-203(A), when recommending approval or denial of this new, person-to-person, location-to-location transferable series 7 license, Council may take into consideration the capability, qualifications, and reliability of the applicant, and that the public convenience requires and that the best interest of the community will be substantially served by the issuance.

The City of Glendale Development Services, Police, and Fire Departments have reviewed the application and determined that it meets all technical requirements.
