Background Summary

Downtown Glendale is zoned C-2 (General Commercial) and located in the Ocotillo District.  Under the provisions of A.R.S. § 4-203.02, it allows for an unlimited number of special event liquor licenses to be issued at locations controlled by the city, therefore, the allowed 12 events per calendar year does not apply to these special event liquor license applications.  Under the provisions of A.R.S. § 4-203.02 the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control may issue a special event liquor license only if the Council recommends approval of such license.

The City of Glendale Development Services, Police, and Fire Departments have reviewed these applications and determined that they meet all technical requirements.
