Recommendation
This is a request for City Council to recommend approval to the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control of a new, non-transferable series 12 (Restaurant) license for Heroes located at 5940 West Union Hills Drive, Suite E100. The Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control application (No. 1207A572) was submitted by Lauren Kay Merrett.

The location of the establishment is in the Cholla District. The property is zoned C-2 (General Commercial). The population density within a one-mile radius is 11,720. Heroes is currently operating with an interim permit, therefore, the approval of this license will not increase the number of liquor licenses in the area. The current number of liquor licenses within a one-mile radius is as listed below.

Pursuant to A.R.S. § 4-203(A), when considering this new, non-transferable series 12 license, Council may take into consideration the applicant’s capability, qualifications, and reliability.
The City of Glendale Development Services, Police, and Fire Departments have reviewed the application and determined that it meets all technical requirements.
