Purpose and Recommended Action

Recommendation

 

This is a request for City Council to recommend approval to the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control of a new, non-transferable series 12 (Restaurant) license for Pacific Seafood Buffet located at 8172 West Bell Road.  The Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control application (No. 1207A567) was submitted by Yin Fang Liu.

Background Summary

 

The location of the establishment is in the Sahuaro District. The property is zoned PAD (Planned Area Development).  The population density within a one-mile radius is 10,225.  Pacific Seafood Buffet is currently operating with an interim permit, therefore, the approval of this license will not increase the number of liquor licenses in the area.  The current number of liquor licenses within a one-mile radius is as listed below.

Pursuant to A.R.S. § 4-203(A), when considering this new, non-transferable series 12 license, Council may take into consideration applicant’s capability, qualifications, and reliability.

 

The City of Glendale Development Services, Police, and Fire Departments have reviewed the application and determined that it meets all technical requirements.
