Purpose and Recommended Action
Recommendation
This is a request for City Council to recommend approval to the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control of a special event liquor license for the Arizona Coyotes Foundation, submitted by Elizabeth Jane Kaplan. The event will be held at Whiskey Rose Bar & Grill located at 6751 North Sunset Boulevard, Suite E110 on Saturday, April 4, 2015, from 3 p.m. to 2 a.m. The purpose of this special event liquor license is for a fundraiser.

Whiskey Rose Bar & Grill is zoned PAD (Planned Area Development) and located in the Yucca District. If this application is approved, the total number of days expended by this applicant will be one of the allowed 12 days per calendar year. Whiskey Rose Bar & Grill will request to the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control to suspend their Series 12 (Restaurant) license during this special event, if this application is approved. Under the provisions of A.R.S. ยง 4-203.02, the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control may issue a special event liquor license only if the Council recommends approval of such license.
The City of Glendale Development Services, Police, and Fire Departments have reviewed the application and determined that it meets all technical requirements.
